[He's freaking out. Sure he expected to wake up maybe centuries in the future, so he didn't expect Mor Dhona to be the same but the change... isn't that. The light from the sky is wrong. People are calling him a mystel??? Whatever that is. He's NAKED. And he's NOT in the tower rising over the land.

The patrol that brings a very freaked out cat back to the crystarium at least lent him a cloak which he's got wrapped around himself like a toga but everyone already thinks he's really nuts with all his obvious questions.]

[buddy you need to think like the wol and not say jack shit until you have an idea of what is happening or are asked a direct question!! yeesh

at some point in the middle of being questioned by a deeply suspicious Lyna a small dark shape is sprinting down the road toward the little group. the guards notice him one by one and salute, practically ignoring G'raha as the small form skids to a stop.]

Pray forgive me for not warning you! This is a guest of mine from my homeland.

[his eyes may not be visible but he sure is making WORK WITH ME HERE eyes at him.]

[You try waking up naked! He does shut up though, lips pressing tight as he stares at the crystal arm of the hooded figure and then the shadows under the hood.

His shoulders are stiff when Lyna looks at him for confirmation but he nods, not able to look away from the guy who clearly is the most suspicious person here.]

[Lyna gently scolds the Exarch for not giving proper warning, then turns and apologizes to G'raha, though she does also say he would have had a better time if he didn't keep chattering about things people don't understand.

The Exarch is properly apologetic to Lyna and the guards, then says he'll take G'raha from here, get him... situated?? They are apparently planning to keep him.

Once the two are properly out of earshot, though, the Exarch is slowing, voice and countenance far more sober than he was to his people.]

I assume you have your questions.

[He looks sideways at the man next to him, then up at the tower. Then smiles brightly and falsely with no idea that every facade he puts up will be seen right the fuck through.]

Where I might find a pair of pants is a good start I think.

[He was going to play it cool but now he's being aggressive. Not exactly hostile but more than openly suspicious.]

I cannot give you satisfactory answers to... almost any of that. As such, I do not expect your trust.

As for my business with the Warrior of Light, I would request for their aid in beating back the flood of light and making this world livable again. They are the only one who possibly could.

[He shoots this Exarch a look. Of course he can't trust him on that alone. Ridiculous.]

I see you are not interested in answering. I'm sure you're busy, so if you'll just direct me to where I'll be staying...

...Yes, all right. The Pendants are this way. I will send someone to give you a tour.

[since G'raha clearly wants nothing to do with him!!]

[Oh he'll be back for you mystery man. He's just going to get his barings first. He smiles again like he's not freaking out internally... freaking out, but also extremely excited. Isn't this an adventure? Sure he doesn't know crystal suspect's real motives or intentions or origins or even name but the First! Somehow he's bridged the rift. And he's awake! Perhaps it's a dangerous and unknown situation and it's definitely lacking without a certain adventurer here, but...

But it's still an adventure of his own.

He just needs to snoop around and get the proper lay of the land, then sneak into the tower and see what he can make of things in there.]

but he's handing G'raha off to the manager of the Pendants, who gets him clothed and shown to his room until Lyna herself can come and give the MOST no-nonsense tour! after that G'raha is turned loose to do all the snooping he wants, though of course the tower itself has its guard and so on.]

[He tries to charm Lyna by being a more reasonable human being this time, and not asking any weird questions, trying to limit his inquiries to things she's already talking about. Once unleashed however he goes to the library to pester the shit out of Moren the moment he realizes he can just bombard the man with any question.

Having a better grasp of the world situation at last he then goes around to talk to people and inquire about the Exarch and the tower. When all the stories come up equally useless he attempts to sneak into the tower himself.

The guard snags him though, and he grudgingly allows himself to be escorted to the Exarch, much as he feels the need to slip away and explore.

The thing is even that short journey tells him a lot. The tower is NOT the same as he remembers. Not at all.]

[The Exarch sends away the guard immediately, with thanks for his hard work, and he seems to just... stare at G'raha for a few moments before sighing heavily.]

Truly? You could not even wait a full day.

I just missed your handsome face.

[Flippant joke aside he's looking around the Occular.]

Impatient. Did you already run out of things to investigate out there? I shall not give you free run of the tower.

[He barely stops himself from saying anything more sassy, feeling very clever and sneaky.]

I'm a scholar you know. Allag has been my study all my life. Of course I'm curious about why their technology is on the first.
