Wearing a hooded robe with surprisingly effective face-hiding capabilities unless otherwise stated! There is, however, clearly some sort of living blue crystal shot through with gold that seems to be... encroaching on his throat and what can be seen of his face. His right arm, or what's visible of it, is fully crystal. Wow he's short though. spoiler appearance. he is a CATBOY. He has cat ears and slitted pupils and a TAIL, the tail is also going white at the end like his hair. tragically the tail is pretty well hidden by his robes. 15 Second Summary Leader of the Crystarium and Keeper of the Crystal Tower. None of those are relevant here, but ultimately he's just a shady guy who seems surprisingly quick to smile for all that. A historian studying an ancient civilization had his Royal Blood From That Civilization Awakened, realized the tower he was studying was essentially a weapon of mass destruction and sealed it and also himself to prevent disaster. He slept for many years, and was eventually awoken to discover that the world went to shit in a totally different way, that another dimension (the First) had essentially flooded with Light and that calamity had overflowed into their own world, and that the resulting disaster had killed the person he respected most. Those that woke him from his slumber worked out travel between worlds and also time with his assistance and the resources in his tower, and he (and his tower) were sent to prevent the flood of Light in the First, therefore cutting off their bad end before it could truly begin. Time between worlds was finicky, however, so he was sent back far, far too early. Realizing he would die long before being able to save their worlds, he made himself one with the tower itself in... some alarmingly literal ways, extending his lifespan significantly. He spent the years between his arrival and his window to actually prevent disaster by using the powers afforded him by the tower protecting people from the light-monsters of this nearly-dead world. A city sprung up around the foot of his tower, and the people he protected started calling him the Crystal Exarch, looking to him as a leader. He took on those responsibilities as gracefully as he could, while also hoarding wisdom and power to use when the time became right to follow through on his master plan. Said plan was to allow his most respected person to take all the world's Light into their own body, then steal it at the last moment and yeet himself into the void, thus saving the world and his hero from the Light, and also dying. This... did not work out as planned for him when the time came. Abilities & Permissions Abilities Without the aid of the tower he's got various support and damage spells, and is able to conjure glowing weapons for himself. In MMO terms he's flexible enough to tank, heal, or dps. His stamina is, however, terrible. Permissions I AM COOL WITH LIKE ANYTHING, feel free to message me if you're unsure if I would be! Sensing PINGS LIKE A MAGE. Definitely magical. The crystal in him is definitely ALSO magical, but feels almost like it's part of something larger, something that isn't here. also like a time/dimensional traveler.
